Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you install Snapback on your Shopify store, we store: your shop domain, your plan state, and versioned snapshots of your store's catalog content — products (including variants, prices, SEO, tags, images metadata, and metafields), collections, Online Store pages, and inventory quantity levels per location — plus a timeline of change events (what changed, when, and whether Shopify attributed the change to an app, staff, or Shopify's AI surfaces).

What we do NOT collect

Snapback does not request, read, or store orders, customer records, or any personally identifiable customer data. Our access scopes exclude order and customer data entirely.

Where data lives

Snapshot data is stored encrypted at rest: metadata in a managed Postgres database (Neon) and snapshot blobs in Cloudflare R2 object storage, both in US regions. Transport is TLS end to end.

How data is used

Solely to provide the product: showing your change timeline, computing diffs, and restoring versions you choose. We never sell data, never share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers above, and never use your store data to train AI models.

Retention & deletion

Free plan history is retained 7 days; Vault plan history 365 days. When you uninstall, Shopify sends us a redaction request 48 hours later and we permanently delete all stored data for your shop — database rows and snapshot blobs. You can also email us for immediate deletion.

Incident response

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will investigate, remediate, and notify affected merchants by email without undue delay, consistent with applicable law.
